Rules:

All first-time renters must complete the Segway™ training course.
Ages: Anyone 12 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult (on a separate Segway™) for all outdoor rentals. Children under the age of 12 cannot rent the Segways™ for outdoor rentals. Children under 12 can participate in the indoor demos.
I.D and credit card deposit required for all outdoor rentals.
Minimum rental outdoors is 30 minutes.
All renters must sign a waiver and rental contract.
We reserve the right to refuse Segway rentals for any reason.
Renters must follow their instructor’s instructions and operate the Segway™ in a safe manner at all times.

May through October (call for exact dates), 7 days a week from 10 AM to 7 PM. Hours subject to change. Please call before coming if the weather is questionable.

What is a Segway™?

Is riding a Segway™ hard?

No. If you can walk and use your left hand, you can ride a Segway™. We have trained thousands of riders and have never had a customer who could not do it. Our on-site trainers will verify that you are up to the task.

Can my children try it?

Children of all ages can try the Segway™ demo in our training facility. However, children under the age of 12 cannot take the Segway™s out for outdoor rentals.

How does it work?

The Segway has dual on-board computers that measure and correct your position 100 times per second. The Segway uses 2 electric engines to maintain balance at all times. The Segway mimics the way your brain, inner ear and leg muscles work together to keep you balanced.

How much do they cost?

Each Segway costs approximately $6,000.

Are Segway™s safe?

Yes. Like an airplane, the Segway™ has dual systems so that if there is ever a failure in one system, the other one will kick in and stop the rider from falling. However, the Segway™ is a motor vehicle, and like other motor vehicles it is only as safe as the rider using it. Your safety is our priority: we require that all customers undergo a training session and follow the rules.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

We recommend that everyone use a helmet, and they are required for anyone under the age of 16. We provide helmets for riders of all ages at no additional cost.
